High Performance Junior (12-14 yrs.) Weekly 15+hours
This group of swimmers have done consistent training for more than 3 years. They will continue with the head coaches and strive towards their provincial level competitions. Some swimmers are ranked top 8 in the National Age Group. Swimmers in this level are expected to commit weekly practices and work towards their long-term goals. They are also encouraged to challenge their potentials on their swimming journeys towards National Junior levels.
Competitive Age Group A (11-13 yrs.) Weekly 10 hours
This group of swimmers have consistently trained for minimum 2.5 years in a club setting and are very committed to their short term and long-term goals. They have fine techniques for their age level and have experienced the club invitational competitions more than 4 times per swim season. Majority of them have reached the provincial standards D1 level on their age group.
Competitive Age Group B (10-12 yrs.) Weekly 8 hours
This group of swimmers have consistently trained for minimum 2 years in a club setting and are very committed to their short term and long-term goals. They steady techniques for their age level and have experienced the club invitational competitions 3-4 times per swim season. Majority of them have reached the provincial standards D2 level on their age group.
Pre Age Group (9-11 yrs.) Weekly 6 hours
Swimmers trained with the club setting for over 1 year developing the foundations of all 4 strokes. They learn to train throughout the week to build the aerobic system that is needed if they decide to go further with their swimming journey. The seasonal goals are stroke corrections, competition techniques, meet rules, body strength, flexibility, and cooperation suitable for their ages.
Novice (7-10 yrs.) Weekly 4hours
Pre-competitive group. Swimmers have swimming experience with local swim programs for at least 1 year. They are able to swim each stroke for more than 50m and they are willing to commit to a weekly club training schedule. Advanced stroke techniques and skills are the main focus while races, meet rules and team building/sportsmanship are introduced to this group and their parents. The seasonal goals are to help swimmers realize their love for swimming, experience invitational competitions, and cultivate more passion to pursue further in their swimming journey.
Mini Star (6-9 yrs.) Weekly 3 hours
Pre-competitive group. Swimmers have swimming experience with Love swimming programs for 6-8 months. They are able to swim each stroke for 25-50m and they are willing to commit to a weekly club training schedule. Water awareness and the delicate perception, techniques and skills, dry land safety/flexibility and cooperation are mainly focused on this group. Meet rules, team building/sportsmanship are introduced to these young swimmers and parents. The seasonal goals are to build swimmers confidence, to have fun throughout creative workouts, and to promote their interests in swimming sports.
